What are the entry requirements for an apprenticeship in Scotland?

If you’re taking a foundation apprenticeship, you’re not employed. You take it alongside your Highers and National 5s. With modern and graduate apprenticeships, you are employed. To be considered for a modern or graduate level apprenticeship programme in Scotland, you need to be:

Aged 16 or over
Living in Scotland
Not in full-time education

Requirements for international students

If you’re an international student thinking about applying for an apprenticeship in Scotland, you’ll need to be a resident, eligible to work in Scotland and have the necessary visas.
